The narrator in my story is a senior named Adonis. I believe his point of view is third person because he says things that describe people calling him by his name and you can imagine how he feels from how the author wrote the book.
I believe that the mood in this book is confused or afraid because Adonis is afraid that his friends will laugh at him for hanging out with Alan. He is always with Alan because Alan is friends with his sister and his crush. I think he is confused because he doesn't know what to do in this situation. Like Melody, his crush, told him if he could make sure nobody bullies Alan for wearing a dress and Adonis agreed but his friends would make fun of him if he did. He just doesn't know what the right thing to do is.
I believe that the authors tone is that we shouldn't judge people by how they act and look. In the end of the book, Adonis and Alan become friends, even after Adonis called him gay and rude names. I think it's raising awareness for LGBTQ people and the authors opinion is that he stands up for their rights.
